Varsity Baseball · Valley Falls To Mason City In Substate Semifinal

UPDATE (9 p.m. JULY 20): The Valley High School varsity baseball team fell to Mason City 5-1 on Monday, July 20, in a Class 4A substate 2 semifinal.

The Tigers end the 2020 season with a 10-15 overall record.


PREVIOUSLY: After defeating Indianola 3-1 on Friday, July 17, in the opening round of Class 4A substate 2 play, the Valley High School varsity baseball team will travel to Mason City on Monday, July 20, for a substate semifinal.

First pitch is set for 7 p.m.

A livestream will not be available, but fans can follow live stats on GameChanger. The winner of Monday’s game will face Waukee in a substate final at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22.

Much like the regular season for CIML games, Valley will follow similar procedures for spectators at baseball and softball postseason games. Fans should review those guidelines in advance of the game.

Ticket & Seating Information

Each team member and coach in uniform has been provided two tickets to purchase admission to this game. Tickets cost $6. Passes will not be accepted. If possible, please have correct change for tickets.

Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs in the event the bleachers meet capacity.


Parking is available on the north side of the stadium.
